A British tourist said she was treated “worse than a prisoner” when she was quarantined near Heathrow.

It cost Lyn Siddle £ 1,750 to stay at the Ramada Hounslow Hotel but she claims the room is dirty.

The Southport mother returned to England on June 19 from Bali, which was on the amber travel list.

But a three-hour layover in Abu Dhabi on the Red List meant she had to spend ten days in isolation when she returned to the country.

She had submitted a negative test result and filled out a passenger search form, but had to leave early for the hotel.

Lyn says she was told she couldn’t get on her plane home without showing that she had already paid for the hotel stay in England.

She said, “I was at the Abu Dhabi airport for three hours and it was empty. The flight was empty. I have not seen anyone.

“I had three coronavirus tests” [since being in the hotel] and all were negative. ‘

Pictures taken inside the hotel appear to show dirt on the hotel room floor as well as broken air conditioners and televisions and food in plastic containers.

A friend commented on her Facebook page saying she was “treated worse than a prisoner”.
