Children were hospitalized following a serious accident that blocked a main street in Stockport this afternoon (July 30th).
The A6 Wellington Road North was closed at the Belmont Way junction and headed south towards the city center.
Bus services have been rerouted in the Heaton Norris area.
GMP said two children were in hospital after the crash.

“Officers were called this afternoon around 2:20 p.m. (July 30, 2021) for a report of a collision with two vehicles on the A6 on Belmont Way, Wellington Road North, Stockport,” a spokesman said.
“The ambulance service was visited and two children were taken to hospital for treatment as a precaution.
“The investigation is ongoing and there have been no arrests.
“Anyone with information should call the police on 0161 856 8473 and cite the 1460 incident on July 30th.

There are still delays in the area as the road reopens after 4.30pm.
