Brightons U23 have signed midfielder Jack Hinchy from National League team Stockport County on a two-year deal.
The 18-year-old made his debut in January in the 1-0 defeat by Premier League club West Ham in the third round of the FA Cup for the Hatters.
U23 coach Andrew Crofts said: “Jack arrives at Stockport after a good season and that was underscored by his debut which will certainly have been a real pride for him and his family.
“We are delighted that he has decided to entrust us with his development – now it’s about getting used to the club and getting used to a new area.”
Hinchy will join the U23 squad straight away when they start their Premier League 2 season on Monday when they win Derby at Pride Park
