A6 Wellington Road South, Stockport reopened after collision – RECAP

A main road in the Greater Manchester area was opened again late on Saturday evening after an accident.

The traffic police had previously closed Wellington Road South in both directions after an accident at the junction of Greek Street. Emergency services responded and police warned drivers to avoid the area.

The collision was cleared up and the A6 was released again.

A6 Wellington Road South, Stockport closed in both directions at Greek Street junction. This is due to an RTC. If you are going in this direction, please find an alternative route.

In an update on Sunday morning at 2 a.m., the traffic and travel website Inrix announced that the road has now been opened again.
