Fire chiefs are moving to reassure Stockport residents ahead of an explosion which will take place tomorrow morning (March 15).
A letter has been sent out by Offerton fire station to people living close to Romiley Board Mill, in Romiley, ahead of the event on Tuesday.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) has confirmed to the Manchester Evening News that a training exercise will be taking place at the Oakwood Road building from 10.30am to 12.30pm tomorrow.

It is set to include an explosion taking place at Romiley Board Mill at around 11am, with smoke set to be visible from the building afterwards.
A huge emergency services presence will be in attendance – including six fire appliances as well as Greater Manchester Police vehicles.

But members of the public are being told not to be concerned ahead of the major training exercise.
A letter sent out today to nearby residents from GMFRS said: “On Tuesday, March 15, GMFRS will be holding a joint emergency service training exercise at Romiley Board Mill.
“The training exercise will consist of 35 live actors, six fire appliances, fire service and Greater Manchester Police vehicles and camera crews.
“At around 11am there will be a special effects team, setting off an explosion and there will be visible smoke issuing from the mill.
