Stockport residents have welcomed the “amazing news” that the Bredbury Hall nightclub is reopening.
Bredbury Hall broke into management last October but was taken over by new owners Vine Hotels on a £ 5 million deal this year.
The hotel and country club landmark is also home to nightlife in a converted 16th century barn that will return in the near future.

The news was posted on the Bredbury Hall Hotel & Club’s Facebook page last night.
The post said: “EXCITING NEWS !! We can confirm the nightclub will reopen after the Bredbury Hall sale!
“We’ll announce the opening date as soon as the calendar of events is ready. We can’t wait to see you all back at the club.”

Thousands of people rushed to the comments to celebrate the good news, with one person saying it was “the best Facebook post I’ve seen in a long time.”
One comment said, “Such good news, a landmark that should live on. Such a diverse venue and such a diverse experience. I always had a good night at Brotern’s and with all the taxis that were lined up outside, I could always be sure that I could leave them alone x “
Another added: “My husband and I met at Bredders and next month we will celebrate our 50th anniversary. Good luck with the relaunch.”
One user wrote, “This is just amazing news, so glad the whole place got through these very sad times and hopefully now comes out on the other end.”
Back in May, when the sale of the venue was confirmed, Vine Hotels Chairman Greg Dyke told BusinessLive, “Bredbury Hall is an exciting property.
“Combining a great location with heritage and a longstanding relationship with the local community.
“It has immense potential for the future and we look forward to helping Bredbury Hall take its rightful place as one of the best hotels in Stockport.”
The hotel will reopen with a restaurant with 200 seats, a lounge bar and a brasserie with 60 seats, ten meeting rooms for up to 200 people for a cocktail reception, a theater for 180 delegates, a fitness center and a barn for up to 900 people.
