Housekeeping staff have set down mops and buckets to provide free meals and food packages to their vulnerable customers.
Handy Ladies, a cleaning company in Stockport, Greater Manchester, was unable to perform their usual cleaning services due to lockdown restrictions. So they decided to help the elderly in their community.
They catered for those shielding themselves with grocery deliveries and pre-cooked meals with a demand of 180 free meals per day, with a record high of 720 per week.
The company has relied solely on donations from food, resources and volunteer delivery drivers for delivery.
At home Instead, Stockport, who provides home care to the community so that they can remain independent, volunteered to help.
